What a bittersweet milestone for our team! After eight years of dedicated service, our CEO, Dr. Michael Wrinch, has officially wrapped up his final national board meeting. The momentous occasion took place at the 239th Engineers Canada Annual Meeting in Calgary, marking the conclusion of an incredible chapter of national leadership.
A Lasting Legacy of Advocacy and Innovation

Eight years on a national stage is no small feat. Throughout his tenure—culminating in his time serving executive roles, including President—Michael’s leadership has left an indelible mark on the Canadian engineering landscape.
While Engineers Canada prepares to welcome its new board and incoming president to steer the ship forward, we want to take a moment to celebrate the immense passion and vision Michael brought to the table every single day.

A Classic Alberta Send-Off

You can’t wrap up a major milestone in Calgary without a little local flair! Michael capped off his final week of meetings with a classic Alberta-style dinner at Heritage Park. Surrounded by great food and brilliant company, it was the perfect setting to look back on a deeply rewarding eight-year journey and toast to the future.
We are incredibly proud of the impact Michael has made on the profession at a national level, and we can’t wait to see how that same energy and vision continue to drive our own team forward.
Congratulations, Michael, on an outstanding tenure!
