At Hedgehog Technologies, our commitment to technical excellence has always been intertwined with a deep responsibility toward the planet and the communities we serve. The release of our 2026 Sustainability Report marks a pivotal moment in our journey, moving beyond high-level goals into the realm of measurable, real-world impact. Our focus has centered on four critical pillars that define our corporate identity: Sustainability, Indigenous Prosperity, People, and Governance.
The 2026 Sustainability Report highlights our strategic expansion and technical innovation, specifically through our recent membership with the Canadian Urban Transit Research and Innovation Consortium. By joining CUTRIC, Hedgehog Technologies has positioned itself at the forefront of sustainable rail and transit systems across Canada.

One of the most significant highlights of the 2026 report is our ongoing partnership with the Haida Nation, specifically our work on the massive 2 MW solar array project. While often discussed in terms of its total energy potential—projected to contribute approximately 2.1 GWh of clean energy annually—this project is fundamentally a story of environmental stewardship and Indigenous leadership.
On the technological front, we have achieved a significant milestone with the development and deployment of SafeLens, a specialized tool designed for safety inspections at a technical college. SafeLens utilizes advanced imaging and data analytics to streamline the inspection process for high-voltage electrical equipment and complex mechanical systems.
Our physical footprint has also evolved to meet the growing demand for sustainable infrastructure, marked by the official opening of our new office in Toronto. This expansion into the Ontario market represents more than just a geographic move; it serves as a central hub for our Eastern Canadian operations and a base for local talent acquisition. The Toronto office is designed to support our growing portfolio of municipal transit projects and renewable energy initiatives within the region.

The progress detailed in our 2026 Sustainability Report is a testament to the power of collaborative engineering and purpose-driven innovation.
