To keep pace with BC’s evolving environmental standards, the Village of Cumberland embarked on an upgrade of its wastewater treatment system. The initiative focused on modernizing the plant to achieve superior efficiency and environmental stewardship, ensuring the community remains aligned with current regulatory expectations. Hedgehog Technologies was engaged to design a comprehensive electrical and control system that supports these upgrades, delivering an innovative and resilient solution for the Village.

Our Challenges:

• Align wastewater treatment operations with new and evolving environmental regulations while minimizing environmental impact

Our Impact: Our team designed the full electrical system, including distribution, lighting, small power, conduit systems, heat trace, and communication networks. Additionally, we developed a sophisticated control and SCADA system to ensure reliable operation and regulatory compliance. The successful upgrade improved wastewater treatment performance, helping Cumberland meet environmental standards while enhancing system efficiency.
